Batam – Flyover Laksamana Ladi yang menghubungkan wilayah Sekupang dan pusat perkotaan Batam, mulai dirasakan manfaatnya oleh Masyarakat Sekupang dan sekitarnya.
Salah satu warga Tiban, Puspa mengatakan jika keberadaan Flyover Laksamana Ladi mampu mengurai kemacetan yang acapkali terjadi di seputar Kawasan Southlink menuju Simpang Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB).
“Kami merasa senang dengan adanya flyover di Sei Ladi. Biasanya malam tahun baru pasti macet kalau kita mau ke arah Batam Center, tapi semalam alhamdulillah tidak lagi,” ujarnya
Tidak hanya Puspa, Warga Tiban lainnya, Aida, juga ikut merasakan langsung manfaat dari keberadaan Flyover Laksamana Ladi.
Aida mengatakan, flyover yang menjadi wajah baru Kota Batam ini memberikan manfaat terhadap kelancaran mobilitas para pekerja. Khususnya di jam-jam sibuk.
“Biasanya jam sibuk pasti macet. Sekarang alhamdulillah sudah terurai. Jadi kita yang bekerja di area Batam Center maupun Batu Ampar sangat terbantu,” ungkapnya.
Di tengah perdebatan soal penamaan, flyover dengan panjang 120 meter dan lebar 10,5 meter ini sejatinya memang memberikan dampak besar terhadap mobilitas masyarakat Batam.
Sebagian pihak beranggapan, pembangunan flyover yang menelan anggaran sebesar Rp 132 miliar tersebut juga merupakan langkah strategis pemerintah dalam menyiapkan infrastruktur pendukung iklim investasi di Batam.
“Jika menginginkan investasi meningkat, maka infrastrukturnya perlu kita benahi terlebih dulu. Kalau sudah maksimal, maka investasi akan tumbuh dan ekonomi pun bangkit,” jelas Kepala BP Batam, Muhammad Rudi. (DN/BP Batam)
