BATAM – Kepala Badan Pengusahaan (BP) Batam, Muhammad Rudi meninjau progress pertumbuhan pohon kayu Jati Emas di kawasan Taman Dang Anom pada hari Selasa (3/1/2023) sore didampingi oleh Anggota Bidang Administrasi dan Keuangan, Wahjoe Triwidijo Koentjoro; Anggota Bidang Kebijakan Strategis, Enoh Suharto Pranoto; dan Anggota Bidang Pengusahaan, Wan Darussalam
Di kawasan Taman Dang Anom, Muhammad Rudi beserta jajarannya turut menebar pupuk ke beberapa pohon kayu Jati Emas yang sebelumnya telah ditanam pada 24 Agustus 2022 dengan jumlah sekitar 12.000 batang pohon.
Muhammad Rudi menyampaikan bahwa peninjauan ini ia lakukan dalam rangka melihat progress pertumbuhan pohon-pohon kayu Jati Emas yang telah ditanam agar tumbuh sesuai dengan harapan.
“Saya datang kesini karena ingin melihat langsung seberapa jauh progress pertumbuhan pohon ini, apakah dia tumbuh sesuai harapan atau tidak. Ternyata setelah kita tinjau, mayoritas pohon tumbuh dengan baik namun ada juga yang harus diberikan perhatian khusus karena tumbuh kurang sempurna,” ujar pria yang juga menjabat sebagai Walikota Batam ini.
Ia berharap agar para pegawai BP Batam dan masyarakat Kota Batam dapat bersama-sama merawat pohon kayu Jati Emas yang telah ditanam ini untuk keasrian Batam kedepannya.
“Saya berharap para pegawai BP Batam dan masyarakat Batam untuk bersama-sama merawat pohon kayu Jati Emas ini agar tumbuh dengan baik sehingga keasrian Batam kedepannya dapat kita nikmati. Tahun 2023 ini BP Batam akan memulai pelebaran jalan dari Batu Ampar hingga ke Nongsa dan akan selesai pada 2024 sehingga nanti pasti akan banyak pohon yang ditebang untuk membuka akses jalan dan pohon kayu Jati Emas yang telah kita tanam ini saya proyeksikan sebagai gantinya,” tegas Rudi.
Rudi turut menyampaikan bahwa di bawah pohon kayu Jati Emas ini nantinya akan dibangun pedesterian sehingga pohon-pohon ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai objek penghijauan namun dapat juga digunakan sebagai tempat berteduh para pejalan kaki.
Turut hadir mendampingi Kepala BP Batam beserta para Anggota di lingkungan BP Batam, Kepala Biro Umum, Budi Susilo; Plt. Direktur Infrastruktur Kawasan, Ponco Indro Subekti; serta beberapa Pejabat Tingkat III dan IV di lingkungan BP Batam. (mi)
