BATAM – Wali Kota Batam, Muhammad Rudi, mengajak jemaah mendoakan kemajuan Kota Batam. Ia mengaku, pembangunan Batam saat ini tak lepas dari dukungan semua pihak.
“Terus doakan Batam supaya terus maju dan terus memberikan kesejahteraan untuk masyarakat,” ujar Rudi, Kamis (28/3/2024).
Adapun, Safari Ramadan itu dimulai berbuka puasa dan salat Magrib berjemaah di Masjid Baiturrozzaq Perumahan Sari Padjadjaran Tembesi Kelurahan Tembesi, Kecamatan Sagulung.
Usai berbuka puasa dan salat Magrib, Safari Ramadan dilanjutkan salat Isya dan Tarawih di Masjid Ar Raudhah Perumahan Phoenix Garden Kelurahan Sei Langkai, Kecamatan Sagulung.
Di kesempatan itu, Wali Kota mengatakan bahwa dukungan dari semua jemaah sangat penting demi percepatan pembangunan Batam. Ia mengungkapkan, saat ini, Batam sedang gencar membangun mulai dari bandara, pelabuhan, jalan protokol dan berbagai pembangunan lainnya.
“Pembangunan ini upaya mendongkrak ekonomi Batam dan mensejahterakan masyarakat Batam,” katanya.
Ia bahkan menyampaikan, dengan gencarnya pembangunan, menjadi salah satu pendongkrak ekonomi Batam. Ia mengatakan, ekonomi Batam saat ini tumbuh 7,04 persen.
“Angka ini meningkat dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya yang berada di angka 6,84 persen,” kata Rudi.
